Elizabeth Davidson, Social Work Intern
As an MSW student, I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, and that everyone deserves mental health support. I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan and approach each person with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their unique experiences.
My professional experience has allowed me to work alongside individuals and families navigating a variety of challenging circumstances. I have provided direct services to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, supporting individuals through some of the most difficult and vulnerable periods of their lives and tough transitions to then finding themselves again. I have also worked with children and their families, suffering with weaker immune systems that has deepened my understanding of the ways that difficult circumstances can affect individuals and their families differently. These experiences have helped me recognize that there is a deficit of support and capacity in the world, which in turn has fueled my passion to be present in your journey.
I believe clients are the drivers of their own stories. My role is to walk alongside clients as a partner pursuing allyship, creating a space where they can feel heard, supported, and empowered to work toward the changes they want to make. I believe deeply in the dignity and worth of every person and strive to meet each client where they are without judgment or assumptions.
My goal is to build a genuine therapeutic relationship where clients feel comfortable bringing their whole selves into the room. Together, we can explore challenges, identify strengths, and work toward greater understanding, healing, and well-being. My hope for you is that you walk away feeling capable, strong, and worthy of support while continuing to navigate life’s journey.
