Arden Ott, LCSW
The human experience is filled with moments where our old ways of coping no longer match the life we want to live.
I’m Arden, and I work with individuals, couples, and groups who are navigating the complex terrain of trauma, life transitions, depression, and anxiety. I am particularly passionate about walking alongside people who are breaking unhelpful habits or navigating the raw, intentional stages of early substance use recovery. I believe therapy is a space to make meaning of the past, helping you untangle historical trauma and integrate those experiences into a self-view that is defined by strength rather than pain.
My approach has been shaped by five years of clinical work across a wide array of intensive settings, including a Child Advocacy Center specializing in youth trauma, an inpatient dual-diagnosis treatment center, and community mental health. These spaces taught me that true healing requires us to look at the whole picture with reflective awareness. In our sessions, whether in person or virtually, I bring a practice rooted in deep curiosity and creativity. I often encourage clients to “play the tape through”—a tool that helps us look past immediate, automatic reactions and consider how our choices impact our long-term peace and balance.
When you sit on the couch with me, my primary commitment is to show up with unconditional positive regard and absolute authenticity. I want you to feel seen, grounded, and safe—but also safe enough to be occasionally, uncomfortably honest with yourself. Healing isn’t about running from what hurts; it is about building a mindful awareness of your internal experiences, learning to turn toward your thoughts and physical sensations with kindness, curiosity, and non-judgment. My hope is that through our collaborative work, you feel entirely empowered to reclaim your narrative and fully step into your life with confidence and clarity.
